Gifts

We all have our own gift ideas for unique gifts and yesterday I was the recipient of one.  So the spirit of gift giving, which the Christian world associates with this time of year, has come early for me.

A package arrived, addressed to me with a bright shiny story book inside.  Take a look.  Isn’t it beautiful and it came as a total surprise from Red Room, a site where I had posted an article on the Freedom of Speech.

I am very grateful for this selfless gesture and look forward to sharing the images and the lovely story that is told in this book.

Gifts can come in so many different forms.  For me this book is so much more than just an item, a thing.  It is also an opportunity to share with others; an opportunity to read a new story to my grand-children.

Once again, thank you for this lovely gift which will continue to give.

It’s true that this time of year is very oriented toward “gift-giving”, though we tend to end up obssessed with the materialism of the object, and less with the act of giving in the spirit of hope and joy. May this book be a gift that gives on many levels and continues to inspire through the seasons. May our society remember the importance of peace, hope and joy at this time rather than the latest model of the latest toys and trinkets. Peace and hope to all!

Congratulations! I think that freedom of speech is very important. Although this might appear to some people as a bit extreme, I think that it is very important for a person to be entitled to feel whatever she wants to feel when she feels it.

Congratulations Csilla! To be chosen to receive this gift means your blog post on Red Room was extraordinary. That was a double gift to be sure!

Treasure this gift. You deserve it.

    Love, Sharon

Whoops, neglected to leave this link to the Red Room: http://www.redroom.com/blog/well-red/red-room-blogs-about-freedom-speech, which talks about Csilla’s blog. It was outstanding, which is why she received the gift.
